ARE YOU A HACKER?

You want be a HACKER? Then read on…

Today we are in digital age with tremendous improvements in technology where we are definitely dependent on computers/smart phones and again one way or the other, the technology itself.

So let’s think for a second, are we using technology that is created by someone? Or we are developing our own?

We want to make you to understand this from the security point of view.

Most of us have heard the term ‘HACKER’ and most of have known a HACKER as the one “who do illegal activities or perform malicious activities with ones individual identity, intellectual property by any means.

Let’s assume you are a Hacker and you want to HACK some individual’s account, (Let’s say GMAIL or Facebook).

How many of us will try to search in Google for:

  1. How GMAIL stores the username and password of users?
  2. What kind of encryption algorithm they use?
  3. What is the Hashing algorithm used in it?
  4. What are the security parameters they have in place to protect user’s identity?

OR

Just search in Google “software to crack Gmail of Facebook password”.

We all want to know the exact software that is used to hack, but least interested in how that software is working.

If there is software that exists to crack Gmail or Facebook password, we are interested in using them but not interested in understanding how its functioning.

But a true HACKER is the one, who understands how software works, and who tries to develop his/her own piece of code, and try to learn nook and corner of any particular concept.

On the other hand a SCRIPT KIDDIE is the one who just uses the tool which is developed by a HACKER and has no background about the software that he/she is using or the concept.

I hope you got an idea on which side you want to be.

Let us try to practice coding starting with a small problem and finding different ways to give a solution for the problem.

Let us become HACKERS and improve our skills by learning new things, writing a piece of code, and also sharing our knowledge with each other.

“EVERYBODY SHOULD KNOW HOW TO CODE”

More on the same will be continued in the next blog…

*** THERE IS ONLY ONE THING THAT IS CONSTANT, “CHANGE”

BE HAPPY “SAPIUNTS”.
